Childhood Cancer Awareness Month
September is known for Childhood Cancer Awareness Month (CCAM) and also National Life Insurance Awareness Month. Childhood Cancer Awareness Month (CCAM) is recognized every September by organizations around the world to raise awareness and funds for children and adolescents with cancer and their families. The month also aims to highlight the challenges children face when they are diagnosed with cancer, which is still the leading cause of death by disease for children under 14. Since the 1970s, the five-year survival rate for pediatric cancer has improved from 58-68% to 83-88% in recent years.
