April Schulte, MS, CRC, CLVT, is the Manager of the South Dakota Rehabilitation Center for the Blind in Sioux Falls, under of the Division of Service to the Blind and Visually Impaired (SBVI) within the South Dakota Department of Human Services. She has been with SBVI for over ten years, beginning her career as a Vocational Rehabilitation Counselor and later serving as a Program Specialist. With more than 15 years of experience working with individuals with disabilities, April is deeply passionate about supporting independence and empowerment. April is a Certified Rehabilitation Counselor and a Certified Low Vision Therapist. She holds a master’s degree in Mental Health and Rehabilitation Counseling and a bachelor’s degree in psychology. April serves on the Sioux Falls Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA) Committee to plan events to celebrate the signing of the ADA and the National Disability Employment Awareness Month (NDEAM) Committee. Outside of work, she enjoys staying active and spending time with family and friends.
